2D DIC systems are ideal for determining elongation/contraction, bending/extension, multiaxial deformation, extension/shear, strain localisation and full field deformation.

3D DIC systems are ideal for determining residual stress, vibration, strain concentration, deflection, motion, adhesion, extension/compression, deformation and crack propagation.
