Pneumatic Silencers and Bug Screens

The exhaust ports of pneumatic valves must be protected from debris ingress that could cause the valves to wear prematurely or become unreliable. Bug screens offer a very effective means of protecting these ports through the use of wire mesh or gauze. Large flow systems can produce very loud exhaust discharges that can contravene safe noise limits and silencers offer the port protection of bug screens with up to 70% noise reduction through the use of extended flow paths through the filter media. Both types carry ATEX and GOST Ex certification as standard.
