Optical Extensometers for Material Testing

Optical Extensometers are designed to complement and enhance the capabilities of Universal Testing Machines (UTM's) for material testing suitable for research or verification purposes. Optical Extensometry can best be combined with Digital Image Correlation software to further enhance the capabilities of these camera systems and can bring extraordinary results for tensile testing, flexural testing, biaxial testing, torsion testing, shear testing and crack propagation.

Optical Extensometers can be fitted to both new and existing UTM's and a wide range of mounting accessories are available to simplify the installation. Our Optical Extensometers include the dedicated DIC software to enhance the relevance of the measurement capabilities and provide additional analysis tools for the user.
