Air Release Valves

Air release valves are most often employed in water pipelines to release trapped air at high points in the line that could potentially cause air locks and promote corrosion. Air is entrained in the water through the pumping process and as the bubbles form, they rise upwards and eventually collect at the highest point they can reach. Removing this air helps the lines to fill and drain effectively.
