The P05 utilises the long established Z-Tide axial control valve body in conjunction with a high performance Nadi pilot solenoid valve to deliver reliable switching operations for high flow applications. Compared to a conventional globe valve style body, the axial valve offers increased flow rate, reduced turbulence and pressure drop in operation making it more efficient and quieter than a conventional large bore solenoid valve. The flanged P05 valves are available from 2 to 12" as standard but larger sizes are possible on request up to 56".
These valves are ideal for water, oil or fuel operations with valve body material options of ductile iron, bronze, 304 or 316 stainless steel. The pilot valves and pipework are stainless steel and we offer options for ATEX, IECEx or GOST Ex certification for use in potentially hazardous environments. The standard PN16 flanged valves are rated to the full 16bar and the PN25 flanged valves are rated to 22bar as standard due to limitations of the solenoid solenoid pilot. Should you need the full 25bar rating we will be able to offer an alternative pilot to achieve this. ANSI flanged versions also available.
These valves are made specifically for Measure Monitor Control and as such we can tailor them to suit your needs in terms of pressure and flow range or control requirements. We can offer a manual reset version if you need to incorporate manual operator involvement into the control scheme for safety interlock purposes. If you prefer an air operated pneumatic pilot rather than a solenoid coil in order to operate without electric control, we can do that too.
Why the axial solenoid and not an actuated ball valve? The fail closed design removes the need for battery back ups or hugely expensive spring return electric actuators and is simpler to automate into an existing system. If you need high flow and manual reset function, this is the only practical and cost effective way to achieve it.
