The S 120 oil vapour sensor offers a cost effective means of measuring residual oil vapour within compressed air systems to prove the effectiveness of filter systems and safeguard sensitive processes from contamination. Using a PID sensing element, the S 120 has a wide measuring range of 0.003mg/m3 up to 10.00mg/m3 that is more sensitive than any current purity legislation or standards require, making it an excellent choice for now and the future.
The S 120 can be used for portable audits or permanently mounted for 24/7 monitoring with relay output for alarm signalling should the vapour levels exceed a preset threshold.
Oil can be present in compressed air in 3 forms, liquid, aerosol and vapour with vapour being the most difficult to eliminate. Since vapour can be present when the other 2 forms are not, it is effectively the most sensitive indicator of system health and the S 120 provides simple and quick evaluation of compressed air with respect to oil vapour content.
