S460 Ultrasonic Flow Meter

The S460 ultrasonic flow meter uses ultrasonic pulses between transducers that clamp onto a pipeline to accurately measure the flow rate of the liquid. There are three sets of transducers available for the S460 that allow flow measurement in pipe sizes from DN32 to DN6000 making the unit very flexible in it’s use and a portable version is available, compatible with the S551 portable data recorder.

Ultrasonic flow measurement is commonly used for water applications but can also be employed with a range of refined hydrocarbons. S460 also includes the capacity for performing energy calculations in heating and cooling systems through the use of additional temperature sensors.

S460 has inputs for two PT100 temperature sensors and output through 4-20mA, Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII. The wall mounted version includes an LCD display for flow and consumption.

S460 was superseded by the more advanced S461 flow meter when it launched in August 2021.
