The flanged solenoid valves pictured above were supplied for a cooling system project to control water flow through a heat exchanger in order to keep a data centre operating at the most efficient temperature for their servers. We specified the PCN valve as it offered the flanged connections required by the installer which vastly reduce installation or replacement time compared to conventional threaded connections and had the stainless steel construction they requested.
Cooling systems often supplement the water with glycol or other chemicals in order to allow a lower water circulation temperature and increase the efficiency of the heat exchanger. The PCN valve range has a choice of elastomers to suit common gases and chemicals but in addition, is constructed of stainless steel and therefore resists corrosion which can be common in these systems. The user has a choice of either CF8 304 or CF8M 316 stainless steels that between them provide a wide degree of chemical compatibility.
The PCN range of solenoid valves can be supplied threaded or flanged in sizes from ½” to 4” and either normally closed or normally open operation. The pilot operated design is effective for pressure ranges between 0.5 and 12bar where there is always pressure present. For more details on the PCN valve range please follow the link below.
