High pressure carbon dioxide (CO2) is dissolved in water as part of the process to manufacture carbonated fizzy drinks. In order to ensure consistent quality, the pressure of the CO2 needs to be carefully controlled and that is where these ten ID Insert Deal R138 regulators are about to be deployed. They are all going to carbonation systems to control the inlet gas up to 8bar where it passes into the water vessel in order to dissolve before creating the final drink mixes. Carbon dioxide is used to make the fizz because it dissolves in water much better than other gases and therefore produces more bubbles in a given volume.
The model 522 aluminium regulator is available in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" for inlet pressures up to 30bar and being aluminium, is very lightweight for applications where this is critical.
